At Elm Tree Primary Academy, we believe that every child’s voice matters and that all pupils should have opportunities to contribute to the development of our school. Through our half-termly Pupil Forum discussions, each class works together to explore key issues, share ideas and discuss aspects of school life that are important to them. These class discussions ensure that every pupil can express their views, opinions and suggestions, empowering all children to have their say and help shape positive change.

The Pupil Forum provides valuable insight into four key areas of school life: Learning, Well-being, Community and Environment. By gathering the views and experiences of pupils across the school, we are able to identify what is working well and where improvements can be made. Pupils are encouraged not only to share their thoughts but also to suggest practical, actionable ideas that can make a real difference. By listening to and valuing pupil voice, we foster confidence, responsibility and a strong sense of belonging, creating an inclusive school community where everyone feels heard, respected and empowered to contribute.
